Product Description
VMIVME-4116 originates from VMIC and later acquired by GE Intelligent Platforms (now Abaco Systems), a standard double-height 6U VMEbus digital-to-analog conversion board for industrial test measurement, aerospace and embedded VME control systems.
It integrates 8 independent 16-bit monolithic DAC channels, converting digital commands from VME CPU into stable ±10V buffered analog voltage signals to drive actuators, test benches, valve positioners and signal simulation equipment. Each channel adopts double-buffered data latch architecture, supporting synchronous full-channel simultaneous update to eliminate output glitch during multi-point setpoint adjustmentManualsLib.
The board supports offset binary and two’s complement data coding, with high linearity conversion and fast settling performance. A front-panel FAIL LED indicates power, channel fault and bus communication anomalies. Equipped with industrial DIN-type external connector for field wiring, it also provides multiplex programmable output signals for calibrating and testing analog input acquisition boards such as VMIVME-3100/3200 series.
Conformal coated PCB, wide temperature operating range, fully compliant with VMEbus standard P1/P2 backplane interface. It is an end-of-life legacy spare widely used in military test equipment, power plant monitoring systems and industrial automatic calibration platforms.
