Motorola MVME7100 is a high-end VME architecture mainboard developed by Motorola Computer Group, later acquired by Emerson Artesyn. It is a dual-core
PowerPC-based master controller for VME rack systems, responsible for system logic operation, field I/O data acquisition, VME bus scheduling,
multi-channel network data interaction and real-time task computation.
Equipped with a Tsi148 bridge chip supporting high-speed 2eSST VME transmission, it is fully backward compatible with legacy VME64/VME32 architectures.
It can work with the rear transition module MVME7216E for rear-panel I/O wiring layout. Featuring ECC error-correcting memory and large onboard flash storage,
it supports real-time operating systems including VxWorks, embedded Linux and LynxOS. It serves as a core replacement spare part for renovation and maintenance of legacy
VME-based systems in thermal & nuclear power DCS, SIS emergency shutdown systems, aerospace & military equipment, shipborne measurement & control devices and large test platforms.
