Product Description

The EGCP-2 8406-121 is a full-function digital genset controller developed by Woodward, designed for diesel and gas engine generator sets up to 30MW. It integrates engine startup/shutdown logic, genset voltage/frequency monitoring, auto-synchronization, real kW/kVAR load sharing, full electrical & mechanical protection, and multi-unit sequencing into one panel-mounted unit.

This controller supports two operation modes: standalone emergency backup power, or parallel connection with utility grid / multiple gensets. Up to 8 EGCP-2 units can be networked for automatic load-based start/stop, balanced runtime rotation, peak shaving and baseload power management. It works with external speed governors and AVR voltage regulators, featuring dual digital LED displays and tactile keypad for on-site parameter tuning, fault viewing and manual operation. Widely used as critical maintenance spare for thermal power auxiliary stations, offshore platform power rooms, industrial backup genset rooms and distributed gas power plants.
